Slow Cooker Paprika Beef, Mushroom and Butter Bean Pot

• 3.5 litre slow cooker
• Large frying pan
• Sharp knife
• Chopping board
• Large bowl

• 700 g beef frying steak or braising steak, trimmed and cut into strips
• 2 tablespoons plain flour
• 2 tablespoons rapeseed oil
• 2 medium brown onions, thinly sliced
• 250 g chestnut mushrooms, sliced
• 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
• 2 teaspoons sweet paprika
• 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
• 2 tablespoons tomato purée
• 400 g tin chopped tomatoes
• 400 ml beef stock, made with 1 reduced-salt stock cube
• 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
• 1 teaspoon dried oregano
• 2 x 400 g tins butter beans, drained and rinsed
• 1 red pepper, deseeded and sliced
• 150 g baby spinach
• 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice
• 1 pinch salt
• 1 pinch black pepper

Put the beef strips in a bowl, season with black pepper and toss with the flour until lightly coated.
