- Cool leftovers promptly, transfer to a covered container and refrigerate within two hours. Use within 3 days. Freeze in suitable portions for up to 3 months; the apples may be a little softer after freezing. Defrost: Defrost frozen portions in the refrigerator overnight. Do not cook the pork from frozen in the slow cooker. Reheat the fully defrosted food until piping hot throughout.
